I feel the need... the need for speed.  So join us for this weekend overnight on a trip to Huntsville Texas and Brays Auto Museum and Track Experience in Madisonville.  It's a car museum with a collection of classic and supercars with an optional track experience.

Day 1 - Friday we will depart CTHD at 8am for a leisurely back country ride along the San Gabriel and Little River with a bio/fuel break in Cameron.  Then we continue on to Marquez for lunch at the Brandin Iron.  Following lunch we head over to Centerville where we turn south towards Madisonville where we will go straight to Brays Auto Museum.  There is a cost of $20 (less for senior/military/1st responders/teachers) for the museum.  After the museum visit we will head south to the Best Western hotel in Huntsville.  Friday night dinner will be at 6pm at Sam's Table which is a short drive away from the hotel.  It is on the town square so parking here will be find as you may around the square.

Day 2 - Huntsville - Today is a free day for everyone to enjoy as you want.  We visited the Bray's Auto Museum on Friday and some may have scheduled their own personal track experience for today.  For others there are several opportunities for fun.

For those who want a different vehicle experience, check out General Sam’s Offroad Park.  It is located just nine miles north of historic Huntsville, Texas. With 706 acres of rolling piney woods, six natural spring-fed creeks, sandpits, mud holes, and over 60+ miles of off-road riding trails for A.T.V’s, trucks, jeeps, and other off-road vehicles, this is the place that you, your family, and friends love to ride.

Huntsville has a variety of attractions blending history and outdoor recreation, from exploring the Sam Houston Memorial Museum complex to hiking and fishing at Huntsville State Park.  There is also the Texas Prison Museum with an intriguing glimpse into the lives of the state's incarcerated population, including an exhibit of the electric chair dubbed "Old Sparky" or the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum of Texas where you can view military artifacts, memorabilia, and weapons from America's major conflicts and hear personal stories from veterans who served.

Dinner will be a chapter ride about 3pm.  Lake Livingston is nearby and we have put together a route from the hotel around the lake from south to north with an early dinner overlooking the lake inside the Lagoon Ranch RV Park at Pit Row Pit Stop on the Lake. Nestled on the serene shores of Lake Livingston, Pit Row Pit Stop on the Lake offers an unforgettable dining experience. Pit Row Pit Stop on the Lake brings the rich culinary traditions of Livingston straight to your plate, paired with breathtaking waterfront views and a welcoming atmosphere.  If you don't ride with us, feel free to join us around 5pm.  This will be L3 ride of 135m with a fuel/bio stop and dinner with an estimated return to the hotel around 7:30pm

Day 3 - Sunday we head out at 9am for a leisurely ride on the eastern side of the Navasota River through to College Station for a bio/fuel break and then on to Deanville for lunch at Bottlenecks Grill.  After lunch we head back home through Caldwell for a bio/fuel break and then arrive back at CTHD.

We will be staying at the Best Western in Huntsville.  We have a block of rooms reserved under CTHOG (or Central Texas Harley Owners Group). There are 8 kings and 8 doubles at $99.99/night. The block ends on March 1, so make your reservations before then! Direct line to the hotel is: (936) 295-9000.  Breakfast is available at the hotel.

We hope you will join us and enjoy this new overnight and weekend experience.  Routes and maps will be posted separately for the daily rides.

Reserve early for your room of choice and be sure to RSVP in our HOG website.
