On Day 3 of our adventure we will leave Pagosa Springs, CO headed west, traveling through Durango on the way to the 4 Corners Monument. This monument is the only place in the US where 4 states (CO, UT, NM, AZ) intersect at one point. The monument is part of the Navajo Nation Park and Recreation. There is a cost of $8 per person to enter, and they only accept credit cards (no cash). Inside the monument there are several Navajo vendors selling handmade jewelry and traditional Navaho foods. Its a very unique spot, and you pretty much have to be going there to get there because its a long way from anywhere. After we leave the 4 Corners we'll head to Bluff for lunch, then on to Moab where we finally have some time to relax. Along the route from 4 corners there is an option to pick up the Utah 50 rides one nation stop if there is any interest in doing so, but it will add 50 miles to the trip.
