Come and join Thom & Mark G for a whole new experience to a familiar destination.  Following the template of the Big Bend Overnight, the Road Captains have set up a new version of “The Leakey Overnight”. The trip to Leakey is usually set in the end of September.  This year we are destined to create new memories in the Hill Country.

The group will depart HEB – Leander, on Friday at 8:30 (please arrive before 8:00AM) headed to Blanco for lunch.  Blanco has several good lunch spots for you to pick from.  Red Bud, 300 BBQ, Blanco River Pizza, and Texas Cannon.  From there, we set sights for the Leakey Inn where we plan to arrive about 3:00PM. The Inn is offering inn rooms and cabins, with rates from 90.00 to 110.00. Let them know you are with CTHOG when you call.

Friday evening, the proprietors of the Leakey Inn have promised to entertain and feed us.  They couldn’t guarantee a well-known group for the “entertainment”. LOL.

Saturday morning, following breakfast (9:00) we will visit the famous “Twisted Sisters”.  During our ride we will also grab lunch upon return. Visitors will have some free time for socializing, retail therapy or catching a nap. 

Saturday evening, the group is invited to use the large grills to prep dinner.  You will need to bring your own groceries n sides or get supplies at the Leakey Mercantile.  We can split bread, share recipes and stories.

Sunday morning, after breakfast (9:00) we will start our journey home to where we started Friday morning.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
