Jefferson Retreat

Jefferson Overnight / Tex and Don / L 4 / CTHD 8:00 am

Tex and Don are leading the CTHOG tribe on our annual 3 day weekend retreat to Jefferson, the B&B Capitol of Texas, in the East Texas Piney Woods. The 14 room Carriage House is our B&B of choice, same as last year. Enjoy some evening chillaxing around the firepit and wake up to a 2 course gourmet breakfast. KSU on Friday morning occurs at 8:00 am for a 320 mile route with gas stops in Caldwell, Crockett and Mt. Enterprise with lunch at Crockett’s Moose Head Café. Expect KSD in Jefferson around 4:00 pm. The Carriage House has an option to serve a 4 course gourmet dinner Friday evening…details to follow a week before departure. There are plenty of dinner options within walking distance including an Italian Restaurant and the local “watering hole”, Annie Skinner’s Riverboat Saloon. Saturday morning is free time to knock around the quaint downtown or take one of several tour options. The Caddo Lake boat tour relates the unique nature of Texas’s only natural lake. Saturday afternoon offers a chapter ride around Lake of the Pines with KSD at the 5 D Cattle Company steakhouse in Avinger, TX. KSU occurs at 9:00 am on Sunday for our 300 mile route home with KSD at approximately 4:30 pm in Hutto. Expect gas stops in Nacogdoches, Crockett and Franklin with lunch in Crockett.
