Howdy folks! Time to return to one of my favorite BBQ spots. Please show NLT 8:45 for the ride brief. We'll head out promptly at 9. The outbound route covers 83 miles out through Burnet, taking in Park Rd 4 down to Kingsland, heading south to 71, then looping back into Spicewood with an expected lunchtime arrival at about 11 am. If we get there ahead of the crowds we generally get in and out pretty quickly. Return route is a little more direct, 52 miles, cutting back over to 281, then back in to 1431 with KSD at the Chevron station on 1431 just east of Lakeline Dr. Total miles is 135, and we should have you back to KSD between 2 and 2:30 pm. If you've never had Opies BBQ you're in for a treat, and they have some mighty fine desserts. Typically people leave room in saddlebags to bring home some extra. Hope you'll join us!
