In 1887, Rev. Thomas A. Broad began this limestone house north of Mason’s courthouse square on Comanche Creek. This project came as a request from local businessmen to build one of the finest two-story stone houses in town. Today, this iconic mansion is being brought back to life by the Seaquist House Foundation, generous donors, and volunteers. In 2025, this property was stop #13 of the Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas. During the Harley-Davidson Hill Country Tour, Rev & Pirate were able to meet Ms. Janell Appleby the Tour Director and learn about this beautiful piece of history.
Pirate has arranged a self-guided tour of the property in its Christmas Decor for the CTHOG Chapter. The Self-Guided Tour is at a cost of $5/person. The ride to Seaquist House will depart HEB-Leander at 9:00am sharp. With a gas/bio stop along the route we will arrive at 11:00am.
